The Girl in the Mirror Knows Too Much

Who doesn’t sneak a glance at their reflection whenever the chance arises? I mean, what’s so bad about admiring how good you look?

Nothing at all—until you’re still standing there ten minutes later, and the overthinking kicks in. Then you'd understand me better.

You’d realize that everything is wrong.

You’re staring at your reflection. You smile. She smiles. She hears your thoughts, mirrors your fears, copies your every twitch. She’s perfect. That’s the problem.

It scares me. Like one day she’ll step out, peel herself off the glass, and spill everything—every messy, unfinished part of me. The parts I keep hidden even from myself.

If that ever happens, how terrified would I be? How scared?

How about you?

What would you do when the girl in the mirror finally stops copying your every twitch?

Don't get scared. At least, not yet. Wait till she comes out.
