My big mummy did say I should stay away from guys. In fact, she made it perfectly clear that one hug from them would get me pregnant. But she forgot to mention that they’d bring chaos and comfort all at once. She didn’t tell me that there’d be a day I’d be writing an appreciation post for them — for randomly showing up in my life and continuously being my safe space.

I’ll mention some names… not all. You know, someone might actually count them and judge me for having so many male friends 😹. Just a girl being careful here.

There’s Mr Working-Class Man. Met him on the streets of Substack and I couldn’t be more grateful for the friend who sent his article link to me. He’s supportive and understanding. In short, he’s that daily dose of medicine every girl needs. Imagine being called a smart lass and a pretty face all in just one smooth conversation?
